The owner of the newspaper Uralskaya Nedelya, Journalist Initiative LLP, was brought to court as a third party on the side of the defendant in a lawsuit for the protection of honor, dignity and business reputation of the ex-police officer Haidar Zheksenov against Alkanova. Zheksenov filed a lawsuit against his ex-wife for reporting to the mass media about the beatings on his part, to which she had been subjected for six years. At the hearing on February 19, the court dismissed the case against the Journalist Initiative LLP due to the fact that the plaintiff did not observe the procedure of pre-trial settlement of the dispute.
