The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation has added 49 British individuals to its sanctions list — the heads and correspondents of «a number of major British media outlets» as well as people linked to the defence complex. This was made in response to several rounds of UK sanctions against Russian journalists and propagandists.
