The Vologda City Court has fined former Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty Russian Service staffer Ivan Belyaev 5,000 rubles under Article 20.33 of the Administrative Code for “participation in the activities of an undesirable organisation.” Police cited several RFE/RL articles published between 2024 and 2025 as evidence. Belyaev, designated a “foreign agent” in 2021, left the outlet in April 2025, following its designation as “undesirable” in 2024.
