The case was initiated because of Yasaveyev’s June column in Idel.Realities «Badass-style or Soviet-style: why is Russia at war?». In the article, the sociologist discusses Vladimir Putin’s decision to go to war with Ukraine and the connection between his actions and the culture of street gangs in the USSR.
