Leninsky District Court of Grodno imposed a fine of 500 basic amounts (BYN 14,500) on Hrodna Life Media LLC and the Hrodna.life website owner. This is the maximum penalty under Part 2 of Article 19.11 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus (distribution of information products included in the republican list of extremist materials). The reason for the administrative case was a photo posted by mistake – it had a logo of the website recognized as extremist in Belarus. For the same image, a fine of 25 basic amounts (BYN 725) was imposed on Iryna Novik, editor of special projects of Hrodna.life.
