On the Day of Independence of Armenia, the work of media representatives was obstructed in the Yerevan military pantheon Yerablur. The Justice for Journalists Foundation is aware of at least 11 incidents. In particular, there was a ban on photo and video shooting of the country's high-ranking officials visiting the memorial complex where service members and militiamen who died during the Karabakh conflict are buried. Assistant Prime Minister Nairi Sargsyan said this measure was taken to avoid excesses because provokers may have been hiding underneath journalists.
