The Russian Ministry of Justice has added journalist and researcher of Russian security services Irina Borogan to the “foreign agents” register. Together with journalist Andrei Soldatov, she co-created the project Agentura.ru and has published several books in English. Borogan has previously collaborated with Novaya Gazeta, Moskovskie Novosti, Foreign Policy, and Foreign Affairs. According to the Ministry, she distributed materials from “foreign agents,” worked for foreign media outlets, and collaborated with “undesirable” organisations. Soldatov was added to the register in 2023.
