The chairman of the public organization Journalists for the human rights Zhanna Aleksanyan filed a lawsuit against the founder of the information website Yerevan.Today - "Media Plus" LLC, its editor-in-chief Sevak Akopyan, the columnist Agaron Ambartsumian, as well as the founders of News.am and Iravunk.com websites - LLC "News.Am" and "Iravunk media". The reason for the lawsuit was the article with the collage portraying Aleksanyan with the President of Turkey, billionaire George Soros, the executive director of the Open Society Foundations - Armenia Larissa Minasyan, as well as one of the grantees of the foundation, Daniel Ioannissian. The article was later posted on two other websites. The publication stated that all these people had laid the foundations for the collapse of Armenia. Legal proceedings had been initiated.
