In the Davitgareji monastery (Kakheti region), a group of priests and local residents beat up the film crew of the Mtavari Arkhi TV channel. Journalists were filming a report for Saturday's analytical program about a high-profile case against cartographers related to the demarcation of the Georgian-Azerbaijani border. The cameraman's camera was also damaged. The Ombudsman of Georgia Nino Lomjaria called on the investigating authorities to promptly and effectively investigate the attacks on journalists. The Ministry of Internal Affairs launched an investigation into the attack, it is reported that priests were drunk.
