The Economic Court of the Brest Region fined Intex-press Publishing House LLC (founder and publisher of the regional newspaper Intex-press) 150 basic amounts (BYN 4,350) in the case of dissemination of prohibited information by the mass media (Part 5 of Article 23.5 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus). The court found Intex-press guilty of violating the law on mass media. The reason for the prosecution was the interview of politician Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya published in the issue of April 14.
