The Pavlodar City Court completed consideration of the lawsuit of the former district inspector N. Yensebayev against Internet Portal Nur LLP. The plaintiff demanded to recognise the published information as false and defamatory to his reputation and to oblige the defendant to publish a refutation. On April 6, the court partially satisfied the claim, recognising the information about beating and drunk driving as inaccurate. According to the court’s decision, the owner of the web portal Nur.kz must publish a refutation of the defamatory information and pay the plaintiff court costs.
