The administrator of the Instagram page Complaints of Ekibastuz received a threat after the publication of a citizen’s complaint against the online store. The representative of the store threatened to «close the website», to involve some relatives from the prosecutor’s office and the police in the case, and stated that the administrator of the page «will regret» the fact that he published the complaint. In addition, the WhatsApp number of the Complaints of Ekibastuz administrator received a message from a certain Darkhan Kabdenov, who introduced himself as a police officer. In it, he promised to prosecute the administrator «under Article 73-3» for «disseminating information» if he did not remove the publication within 15 minutes. The Pavlodar Region Police Department reported that a man with that name does not work in the region’s or Ekibastuz’s internal affairs bodies.
