In Baksan (Kabardino-Balkaria), at 5 AM, law enforcers wearing masks and carrying machine guns came to the home of blogger Insa Lander and took her to Nalchik for interrogation. She managed to tell her acquaintances that she had been pressurised by the operatives. The law enforcers told her that they would release her if she gave evidence against herself to the investigator. Lander was accused of recruiting residents of Kabardino-Balkaria into the ranks of the terrorist organisation Islamic State. She was charged with facilitation of terrorist activities (Article 205.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The court sent her under house arrest.
