The Sinarsky District Court of Kamensk-Uralsky in the Sverdlovsk Region has fined Inna Bystritskaya, editor-in-chief of the Vremya Press news agency, 40,000 rubles (about €445) for “abusing the freedom of mass media” (Part 9, Article 13.15 of the Administrative Offenses Code). The case stemmed from an article claiming that a Telegram bot created by Roskomnadzor was being used to spy on users. The court ruled the information was “unreliable,” and the article has since been removed from the agency’s website.
