The court in Almaty issued a ruling to charge journalist Inga Imanbay a penalty of KZT 140,000 (more than USD 300) for non-execution of a court judgement issued at the lawsuit of ex-Akim of Almaty Bauyrzhan Baybek. The defendants in the suit are political activist, journalist, blogger Zhanbolat Mamay and his wife, journalist Inga Imanbay, refused to remove the film «Bauyrzhan Baybek: corrupt business empire of the son of Nazarbayev’s classmate», published on YouTube, which became the cause of the lawsuit. The court’s decision to impose a fine is being appealed.
