The Moscow Prosecutor’s Office has asked the investigative authorities to initiate a criminal case against blogger Ilya Varlamov under the article on evading the duties of a «foreign agent» (Part 2 of Article 330.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Varlamov was twice brought to administrative responsibility during the year under the article on violation of the procedure of «foreign agent» activity (Part 4 of Article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation). Varlamov left Russia in 2022.
