On the way to Pinsk, police officers stopped the car in which freelance journalists Ilya Malinouski and Maksim Harchanok were travelling. They were detained, taken to the Pinsk police department, had their video equipment and smartphones taken without seizure reports. They were released nine hours after the detention. The journalists spent all this time without food and water. According to them, in the police station, the law enforcers mocked them using Belarusian language and demanded that they speak Russian.
