On 12 April 2022, following his arrest and interrogation, the apartment of online activist Ilya Gantsevsky in Kerch was searched. He is accused of committing a crime under Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public dissemination of knowingly false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the execution by state bodies of the Russian Federation of their authority) for several publications in which he condemns the war in Ukraine.
