On April 15, 2022, a video with the logo of Sea News, where online activist Ilya Gantsevsky confesses, was spread on one of the Kerch-themed groups on the social network VKontakte, as well as on the Telegram channels. The video is signed "A fascist was detained in Kerch", although the video does not mention any relation to the fascist ideology. Earlier, Gantsevsky was detained by the Federal Security Service for several publications in which he condemned the war in Ukraine, highlighted the problem of the destruction of civilian infrastructure, and called to sign a petition to impeach the Russian President Vladimir Putin.
