Imprisoned realliq.info editor Ikram Rahimov’s health deteriorated. On 28 December 2019, he started a hunger strike in protest of the violation of his rights in prison. The journalist’s health deteriorated. His right to calls and family visits was also violated. Rahimov was arrested in October 2018, immediately after the publication of a harshly critical letter in connection with the former presidential aide Ali Hasanov and sentenced to five and half years in prison. The Court of Appeal reduced his sentence to three years.
