It has emerged that the data of Belarusian journalist Ihor Polynsky has appeared in the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs’ wanted database. The reasons for his persecution have not been disclosed. Being in this database means that the Belarusian citizen has been declared wanted in connection with a criminal case. It is likely that the journalist was added to the Russian database at the request of the Belarusian authorities. Before leaving Belarus, Polynsky collaborated with the independent media outlet Regional Newspaper from Maladzyechna.
