Journalist Ihar Khmara was detained in the evening after a sightseeing tour of Minsk. The reason for the detention was that he was speaking Belarusian in the street and attracted the attention of law enforcers. Two policemen put Khmara into a service minibus and took him away. Later, it became known that the journalist was found guilty under an administrative article and placed in the detention center on Akrestsina street. Ihar Khmara is a Belarusian-language guide to Belarus and a journalist. He wrote about urbanism for the portal Realt.by, the media Blizkiye Novosti, Belaruskaye Radio, and others.
