The officers of the Orsha District Police Department came to the home of Ihar Kazmerchak, editor of the regional independent website Оrsha.eu, to conduct questioning and inspect the premises where the journalist used to live. The law enforcers also questioned his former neighbors. In 2021, Ihar Kazmerchak was forced to leave the country because of criminal prosecution. On April 1, 2022, he learned that he was charged under Part 1 of article 368 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus (insult of the President of the Republic of Belarus).
