The authorities seized the property of the editor of the independent regional website orsha.eu Ihar Kazmerchak. Based on the decision of the Orsha department of the Investigative Committee, the apartment owned by the journalist has been arrested. According to Kazmerchak, the reason may be a criminal case for insulting Aleksandr Lukashenko (Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus - «Insulting the President of the Republic of Belarus»), initiated against him in 2022. Ihar Kazmerchak has been living in exile since 2021 out of fear of persecution for his professional activities.
