Even though the journalist was wearing a vest with the inscription «Press», he was detained by security officials during the dispersal of a protest march in Grodno. He was taken to the police department, drawn up a report for violation of the law on mass events (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus), and held in the detention centre for almost a day. He was then released until the trial.
