The security officials detained the journalist in the centre of the city. He was taken to the police department, where he was drawn up a report for violation of the law on mass events (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus). He was held in the detention centre for three days until the trial. On October 8, the court found Baranouski a participant of the protest based on the police report and arrested him for 15 days.
