Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation has added Kaliningrad journalist and former deputy Igor Rudnikov, who currently lives abroad, to its registry of “foreign agents.” Rudnikov has previously faced criminal prosecution. In 2017, he was arrested and held in custody until his trial. In June 2019, he was sentenced to 550 hours of community service on charges of attempted arbitrariness and failure to disclose his second citizenship.
