The Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee brought charges against RusNews journalist Igor Kuznetsov in the Chto Delat Telegram channel case. Kuznetsov is charged with involvement in the organization of riots (Part 1.1 of Article 212.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and incitement of hatred and enmity by a group of people (Part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). As part of this case, he is charged with administering the chats of the Chto Delat movement. The investigative service also accuses Kuznetsov of participating in an «extremist community» (Part 2 of Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) Left Resistance. Earlier, the Basmanny District Court extended the detention of Kuznetsov until August 14, 2022, on the case of inducing mass riots through Telegram.
