Additional information:

The National Security and Defence Council approved sanctions against Anatoly and Olga Shariev, the latter’s mother Alla Bondarenko; and the editor-in-chief of the pro-Russian publication Strana.ua, Igor Guzhva. These sanctions required Internet providers to block any websites or pages on social media associated with these sanctioned individuals. This relates to, in particular, the websites “Strana.ua” and “Shariy.net” as well as YouTube channels and pages of Anatoly and Olga Shariyev on other social networks. In February 2021, the Security Service of Ukraine announced Shariy was suspected of committing high treason, suggesting that Shariy acted on orders from foreign entities, and that his actions were aimed at destabilising the situation in Ukraine.
