The editorial staff of the news website Information Center IC24.kz received a claim from Publishing Group VK-Media LLC (RF), which claims copyright infringement. Namely — the use of a photo, the copyright holder of which is the LLC, in the publication from October 16, 2019 «The ex-head of the Union of Farmers of the Republic of Kazakhstan was sentenced to 19 years in prison». VK-Media accuses the Kazakhstani media outlet of non-compliance with the rules of republishing and use of online media materials, demands pre-trial payment of compensation for violation of the exclusive rights of the right holder and within 30 days either to remove the disputed photo or to place a caption under it with the indication of authorship and a hyperlink to the website krasnoturinsk.info.
