On 30 July, the body of Azerbaijani oppositional blogger Huseyn Bakixanov was found in Tbilisi. According to the unofficial information, his body was found in the apartment where he lived. Acquaintances of the deceased stated that he fell from the window. They believe that Bakixanov could have been thrown from a high-rise building, and then the body was returned to the apartment. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia confirmed the information about his death. The case was initiated under Article 115 - «Incitement to suicide». According to the department, Bakixanov jumped from the 7th floor of the Rooms Hotel in Tbilisi. The Rooms lawyer Kahaber Zereteli reported that when the new staff members were shown the building [Bakixanov was planning to work in the hotel] "a tour manager and a security officer climbed to the roof. After seeing them, he (Bakixanov) turned around, and this happened (suicide). Two eyewitnesses were there. He jumped in front of them."
