Security forces were sent to the Hrodna.life editorial office to conduct an “inspection of the premises”. The Grodno Department of Internal Affairs claimed that “during online monitoring, extremist materials were found on the Hrodna.life and Newgrodno.by sites.” This was due to materials from the NEXTA (who have are considered to be “extremist”) Telegram channel featuring on the sites’ pages. Following a two-hour search, police confiscated all available equipment including a laptop, four cameras, a drone, flash cards, and books published by the editors.
