Who attacked: Authorities

Source: The Insider

Location: Russia, Moscow, Moscow

Additional information:

Roskomnadzor blocked the websites of Holod and Discourse magazines. According to the Holod Telegram channel, the agency demanded to block the website of the media on the basis of the law on discrediting the Russian army. Taisia Bekbulatova, editor-in-chief of Holod, commented on the incident: «In recent weeks, we have received two warnings from Roskomnadzor threatening to block our website unless we remove two materials about the war. We refused to remove these texts. Today, we received the third warning — now the agency demands removing the materials about the war from our website. Of course, we are not going to do that. We are not going to obey censorship, especially military censorship in a country which does not even acknowledge that it is fighting a war. We intend to continue telling the truth about what is happening in Russia and Ukraine, albeit in a blocked form. I’m sure our readers have already installed a VPN».
