On March 18, citizen Arsen Avetisyan filed a lawsuit with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction against the online publication "Hetq.am," which is owned by the public organisation "Investigative Journalists." The lawsuit demands a retraction of information considered defamatory, an apology, and financial compensation. The basis for the claim is two articles published on the mentioned website on October 31, 2024, and February 12, 2025. According to these articles, the plaintiff, with permission from the Yerevan Municipality, carried out construction work in a heritage building in violation of the approved project, leading to a criminal case being initiated. The case is currently under review.
