Several journalists were physically threatened during the protests near Milli Mezhdlis building in Azerbaijan. Freelance journalist Hayala Agaeva reported that she was pressured by police when she was filming arrests of the protesters. Her mobile phone and press card were seized. Freelance journalist Aisel Umudova was also put under pressure, reported Turan.az and her collegue Sevinj Vagif gizi. When Umudova was filming, policeman hit her on a hand, breaking her phone. Two other journalists – Anar Abdullaev and Firi Salim were also detained. It is expected that the police will file a protocol on journalists.
