Journalists came to the Committee for State Security (KGB) building in the center of Minsk in order to cover the visit to the KGB by Mariya Kolesnikova, staff coordinator of Viktar Babaryka, who at 16:00 planned to submit a petition to change the measures of restraint for Babaryka to personal guarantee. OMON (riot police) officers and also unidentified persons in plainclothes led the detained journalists to a van and took them to the Zavodski District police precinct “for checking of identification,” after which soon all were released without records of the detention.
