Gulzat Mamytbek (Alymkulova) was detained upon her arrival in Kyrgyzstan from Turkey as part of the pre-trial proceedings under Article 204 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (fraud). She was taken from the airport to a detention centre and arrested for one month. According to the Bishkek Main Department of Internal Affairs, seven citizens filed complaints with the police in 2020, accusing the blogger of fraud.
