Unknown people sprayed paint on the door of the flat where the editor-in-chief of Orda.kz Gulnar Bazhkenova used to live. «The door of the flat I sold a few years ago was smeared with paint, scribbling „Orda, Bazhkenova“ and all that. The owner of the flat changed twice, I can imagine his amazement. The poor man stuck a peaceful message to the door: „Orda (Gulnara) does not live here!“», — the journalist wrote on Facebook. Bazhkenova believes that the «escalation» was caused by her latest review of events in the country, published on the media outlet’s Telegram channel on January 21. According to Bazhkenova, the painted door is not the only method of intimidation used by the attackers. On December 29, she received a photo from a ritual shop that showed her photo, date of birth, and 2023 instead of the date of death on a tombstone.
