The freelance journalist from Switzerland, Guillaume Briquet, was deliberately shot by Russian soldiers. The journalist was on his way to the city of Mykolaiv in a car marked «PRESS» when Russian troops fired upon him. It was reported that several bullets hit the car's glass and wounded the journalist. The journalist sustained injuries to his face and forearm. Russians then stopped the journalist's car took his documents, money, photo and video equipment, a laptop, and other valuables. Only then the journalist was released. The victim went to the territory of the Kirovohrad region. The wounded journalist was met at the checkpoint by Kropyvnytskyi police officers, who helped him to get to the hospital.
