The KGB of Belarus has recognised the coalition of initiatives “Green Network” as an “extremist formation,” which includes the environmental media outlet “Green Portal.” Under Belarusian law, any interaction with resources deemed extremist formations carries the possibility of criminal prosecution and imprisonment for up to 10 years for participating in or assisting an extremist formation (Articles 361-1 and 361-4 of the Criminal Code).
