The Russian Ministry of Justice has added Gorby Media to its registry of "foreign agents". The ministry stated that the magazine disseminated false information regarding the actions of Russian authorities, the Russian electoral system, and the Russian Orthodox Church. Gorby Media was produced by staff from Novaya Gazeta, with its first issue published in August 2023.
