Roskomnadzor has blocked the VKontakte pages of the Russky Sever TV channel and the newspapers Rech and Golos Cherepovtsa, all of which belong to the local Media Center holding. The outlets had published criticism of Vologda Region Governor Georgy Filimonov. According to Roskomnadzor, the VKontakte communities contained “false information presented as reliable” along with content that could “destabilise the situation in the country.”
