At 7 AM, police officers arrived to the home of the editor of the independent website beshankovichi.by, Georgy Stankevich, in the village of Starye Ranchitsy, Beshankovichi District, and took him to Beshankovichi to conduct a search in the apartment where the journalist had not lived for a long time. As a result of the search, nothing was confiscated, but a questioning was conducted about his involvement in the social and political movement «For Freedom». In conclusion, the security forces demanded that Georgy Stankevich write an underaking stating that he would not violate criminal law, in particular, Article 356 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus (treason).
