Police fined Gela Bochikashvili, a journalist for RLE/RF, GEL 5000 (1,800 USD) for "artificially blocking the road" while covering a protest on Rustaveli Avenue on February 21. He appealed the decision, but his hearing was delayed for three months. Authorities have been imposing fines on journalists for this offence, and appeals from journalists are frequently delayed or prolonged.
