Vice-President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan filed a lawsuit against the Alternativ.am website domain owner Gegham Simonyan demanding compensation for damage caused to his honor and dignity. The reason for the lawsuit was the publication, according to which Simonyan received USD 300,000 from the Vivaro company and promised to use his connections and influence to protect this company from scandals and not hold it to account for violations. On September 28, the lawsuit proceedings were initiated, and the trial has started.
