On March 9, the deputy of the National Assembly Khachatur Sukiasyan filed a lawsuit with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction against the editor-in-chief of the news website Newsmedia.am Gayane Zargaryan, demanding to refute the information defaming his honor, dignity, and business reputation. The reason for the lawsuit was the articles published on January 31 on the above-mentioned website, «On the Traces of the Murder of Criminal Authoritative Tuy Kanakersky: Did "His Majesty" Gagik Dzhangiryan and Khachatur Sukiasyan, alias Grzo, Really "Bless" the Holy Cause of Hakob Simontan’s Release?» and «CEC Chairman Tigran Mukuchtan Has Nepotistic Relations with Simonyan in the Case of the High-profile Murder?». After the lawsuit was filed, on March 15, the editorial staff of the website published a refutation, apologising to Khachatur Sukiasyan and admitting that it had disseminated false information without verifying its accuracy.
