On October 14, the journalists in Kostanay were not allowed to attend the meeting with Dmitry Malakhov, First Deputy Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan. A man at the entrance to the department building told representatives of various media that they were not on the list. Meanwhile, Nasha Gazeta reporter Galina Katkova reports that on the eve of the event, the Kostanay Region Department of Anti-Corruption held a sort of simplified accreditation for the media through its press service, i.e. they specified how many reporters would come and who would be there. Later, the department’s press-secretary Yevgeny Bedich apologized to the journalists on his own behalf.
