The prosecutor's office of Switzerland initiated a criminal case against Azerbaijani bloggers and journalists living in Europe. According to media workers, the criminal case was initiated based on the SOCAR lawsuit for libel, insult, and damage to reputation. The criminal case was initiated against blogger Fuad Agayev, who was publishing exposing materials about the activities of the SOCAR management. However, the case also involves the head of Turan TV Ganimat Zakhidov, Time TV Media Group editor Fikret Huseynli, Time TV manager Emil Jafarov, and bloggers Azer Kazimzade, Orkhan Agayev, Gabil Mammadov, and Mohammed Mirzali. SOCAR's lawsuit contains a demand to arrest and extradite these people to Azerbaijan. They were summoned for questioning to Belgium on August 27.
