On August 1, public activist Zumrud Yagmur held a protest in front of the Presidential Administration. Journalists gathering information at the action — Aytadzh Akhmedova (Meydan TV), Fatima Movlamly (Turan TV), and freelance journalist Nargiz Absalyamova were subjected to physical violence from the guards of the administration. The journalists were forced to stop broadcasting because the guards tried to take away their phones.
