The Moscow City Court, in absentia, sentenced Ukrainian journalist Fakhrudin Sharafmal to seven years in a penal colony in a case concerning incitement of hatred, the rehabilitation of Nazism, and calls for extremism. According to the investigation, on 15 March 2022, Sharafmal, on the Ukrainian channel “24,” publicly urged Ukrainians to kill “citizens of the Russian Federation, including children,” on a mass scale. In Russia, Sharafmal has been listed as an extremist, arrested in absentia, and placed on the wanted list.
